About the Opportunity

Thorek/Scott and Partners is seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to join their team. This exciting role will provide an opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a front-facing leadership mandate within a publicly traded private equity vehicle.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for executing strategic and investor relations-focused initiatives. They will interact with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, investment professionals, and portfolio managers to drive strategy and provide oversight for junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage equity analyst relationships, including initiation and ongoing coverage.
  • Formulate and execute strategic planning to develop key investor relationships, both public and private.
  • Actively engage in the formulation of key messaging to the market and be an effective communicator of this messaging both verbally and in written format.
  • Proactively manage investor relationships to execute on strategies to raise investor awareness and understanding of the business.
  • Understand and assess investor sentiment and implement programs to take advantage of market momentum and address issues.
  • Report on activities to senior management and the board.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree in business or finance.
  • A CPA, MBA, and/or CFA designation preferred.
  • ~7-10 years of experience in any of the following disciplines: capital markets, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, investor relations.
  • ~ Clear history of working with public company and/or public markets investors.
  • ~ Proactive self-starter who is able to handle pressure effectively and has experience working with senior management teams.
