Job Description

The Tourism Operations Manager at Tourism Kingston plays a key role in the success of our organization by overseeing the daily operations of our Visitor Information Centre and Visitor Services programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, promoting services, products, and properties of tourism partners, and collecting visitor data into CRM software.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead and train the Visitor Information Centre team on all aspects of operations, including providing guidance and support in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Sales and Marketing Support
  • Support the Tourism Kingston sales, marketing, and other key portfolios in various tasks and special events, enhancing the overall tourism experience for visitors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in customer service or retail.
  • Valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to represent the Kingston brand and Tourism Kingston professionally.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Square retail software is considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
