We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Investment Engineering, Risk Surveillance, Global Funds team. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and integration of risk data for the Global Funds into our risk management system, RADAR. You will work closely with the Risk Surveillance team and the Analysis team to develop tools and reports to improve risk management and analysis for the Global Funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and integration of risk data for the Global Funds into RADAR.
- Design and develop tools to support risk analysis at the Global Funds level, including high-level strategic risk measures and the transfer of risk reports to the Investment and Strategy teams.
- Support the development and efficiency of continuous risk reporting by developing tools and automating processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ambitious initiatives.
Requirements:
- Practical experience with Python, particularly in data and automation.
- Domain knowledge: possesses a deep understanding of a broad portfolio of investments and markets in which it operates, or wishes to acquire this knowledge. Ideally, the candidate has acquired experience with a manager of assets, including knowledge of one or more of the following areas: equities, fixed income, credit, or currency.
- The candidate will be able to leverage their knowledge and analytical skills to understand and find tools to support the evaluation and management of risk of public and private assets.
- Relationship building: Establish strong relationships and partnerships within the team to produce high-quality analyses and reports.
- Analytical skills: Analytical mind, ability to synthesize multiple sources of information and identify interactions in defined use cases.
- Project management and initiative: Ability to take initiatives, manage project timelines, communicate with stakeholders, and support key business interests.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to different audiences. Ability to share knowledge effectively with team members on how to leverage tools to improve reporting production.
Education and Experience:
- Relevant university degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
- Relevant professional certifications for risk or non-traditional assets (e.g., Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), CAIA, FRM), an asset.
- Knowledge of programming languages, database management, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, Microsoft Excel), desirable.
- Significant relevant experience (at least five years) in the investment industry, preferably in a role of asset management or risk.
- High level of numeracy and comfort, or experience, working with quantitative analysis concepts.
