Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Risk and Technology, the Senior Business Activities Analyst will play a pivotal role in configuring, supporting, and enhancing comprehensive solutions for finance and operational services. This position requires collaboration with business and technology teams to achieve strategic objectives and deliver outcomes through agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate enterprise-wide initiatives utilizing business activity analysis tools and methodologies. Proactively identify workflow challenges, recognize improvement opportunities, implement solutions, and drive innovation.
  • Lead sessions for requirements gathering, document and validate expectations with domain experts, and develop comprehensive system specifications for designing or acquiring systems that fulfill operational needs.
  • Oversee and engage in testing activities to ensure deliverables align with operational standards. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to comprehend priorities, product roadmaps, and existing integration systems to advance towards established objectives.
  • Engage with organizational engineers, solution architects, and subject matter experts to brainstorm innovative alternative solutions, design, and document them. Assess alternative solutions to operational needs and provide guidance based on domain expertise.
  • Participate in process design discussions and translate outcomes into process documentation. Present processes and validate them with organizational subject matter experts. Document key process risks, mitigation strategies, performance metrics, cost considerations, and business continuity plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the investment sector.
  • Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension or similar performance measurement systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with organizational subject matter experts to gather operational requirements, including direct experience with Investment Operations, Fund Performance, and Investment Accounting teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong understanding of project lifecycles, and the ability to apply best practices in diverse and dynamic situations.
  • Capability to comprehend business and data integration requirements and prepare technical specifications for the Engineering team.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies and work management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to adapt communication styles to convey technical and non-technical information to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach, eager to achieve tasks collectively by sharing practices and ideas across functions.
