Polytainers is a leading manufacturer of high-quality plastic packaging solutions. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Demand Planning Manager to join our team.



About the Role:


We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our demand planning function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing our existing forecast accuracy metrics, consensus planning process, and S&OP cadence. This role will play a key part in improving current processes, identifying opportunities for growth, and designing and executing the demand planning function within our future state SAP ERP transformation.



Key Responsibilities:



  1. Develop and maintain accurate and reliable volume forecasts through the execution of the demand planning components of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and analysis of data.
  2. Facilitate cross-functional agreement of volume forecasts and consolidate the forecast components across the full 12-month horizon, sense-checking values and assumptions to validate the unconstrained demand plan.
  3. Highlight risks and opportunities in sales volume based on statistical analysis, activity evaluations, and other market intelligence.
  4. Provide analysis and input into capacity planning and recommend CAPEX required to ensure service, growth, and cost objectives are met in annual budgeting processes.
  5. Monitor and manage forecast accuracy KPIs and drive improvement through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  6. Participate in the Demand & Supply Reconciliation Meetings as part of the S&OP process.
  7. Coordinate the management of SKU transitions, slow-moving, and obsolete goods, highlighting risks associated with customer/item demand.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in planning, forecasting, scheduling, and/or S&OP in a fast-paced, high-volume, lean manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in injection-molded plastics and/or food packaging industry make-to-order business would be an asset.
  • Strong PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Proven track record of working with people and problem resolution, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong influencing and negotiation capability.
  • Additional education, experience, or skills in SAP and APICS or other related certifications would be an asset.


Compensation:


The estimated salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
