About the Role

This is a key position within the Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group at Export Development Canada (EDC), reporting to the Director, IT Operations and Platform Support. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the infrastructure that supports our workplace technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model, and technology operations required to enable EDC's 2030 business transformation.
  • Establish and manage the rolling 3-Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.
  • Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
  • Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of the workplace technology current ('As Is') and future ('To Be') infrastructure processes, documenting the most complex changes required for migration to ensure accurate recording and successful implementation.
  • Manage the workplace technology product/service portfolio cycle management, planning, and aligning with relevant cross-functional product teams, procurement, and distribution.
  • Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
  • Working alongside the Product Owner for workplace technology solutions, lead a collaborative digital product/service design process by gathering input across all product/service portfolios to define a design system that is viable and scalable, and which strengthens the product brand.
  • Lead definition of architectural standards for all workplace technology services and components (applications, data, integration, technology, security, business).
  • Present business and IT leaders with signature-ready recommendations for adjusting policies and projects to achieve target business outcomes that capitalize on relevant digital disruptions.
  • Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or line of business structure.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant discipline.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and network architecture.
  • Application Deployment & Lifecycle Management (Application Packaging).
  • Microsoft 365, Power Platform, CoPilot for M365.
  • Proven work experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
  • Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Windows/Mac Operating Systems.
  • Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  • Azure Virtual Desktop and Window 365 Cloud PC.
  • Microsoft Teams Rooms (Surface Hubs).
  • Advanced Video Conferencing Systems.
  • Wireless Screen Sharing.

What We Offer

Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $107,132 to $142,842 plus a performance-based incentive.

This role may be performed from EDC's headquarters in Ottawa, or from the Community Hub in Toronto, Halifax, Montreal, Calgary, or Vancouver. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
