Global Technology and Cyber Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager for Technology and Cyber Risk Management to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Information Security Office (ISO), you will play a critical role in managing and mitigating technology-related risks across our global organization.
Key Responsibilities- IT Risk Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT risk management practice, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of potential IT risks.
- Reporting and Communication: Establish and maintain effective reporting and communication methods to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of IT risks and their impact on the business.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of risk analysts, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages open communication, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in managing cyber and technology risks.
- Risk Management Training: Deliver risk management training to the IT community, promoting a culture of risk-aware decision-making, accountability, and a commitment to maintaining an effective control environment.
- Integrated Risk Management Platform: Own and manage the evolution of the Integrated Risk Management Platform (Service-Now IRM), including entities, risk statements, and controls management.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in IT risk and risk mitigation, empowering IT stakeholders to assume responsibility for IT risks in their respective areas and encouraging them to report potential IT risks.
- Leadership: Display leadership and independence in performing the role, demonstrating high personal integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters professionally.
- Communication: Develop positive working relationships with team members and business partners, aligning with WSP's internal and external client demands.
- Problem-Solving: Exercise judgment when policies are not well-defined, demonstrating critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with people from different backgrounds and cultures across the region and the world, accommodating schedule for international conference calls.
- Experience: 8+ years of senior-level experience in Information Security, IT Audit, with at least 2 years in Risk Management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Skills: Working knowledge of enterprise IT security concerns and technologies, including VPNs, network security, encryption, authentication, application-level network protocols, Firewall, LAN/WAN, and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge: Experience with IT Governance frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, knowledge of technology best practices, and experience with governance, compliance, and audit within IT environments.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and little to no instructions.
- Compliance: Demonstrated experience in understanding and demonstrating compliance with information security requirements.
