Chief Technology and Cyber Risk Management Advisor

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Technology, Cyber and Data Risk Management team at National Bank as a Chief Advisor, Technology and Cyber Risk Management. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping us to identify and mitigate technology and cyber risks that could impact our business.
Key Responsibilities- Build Relationships and Expertise: Establish strong relationships with business lines and position yourself as a trusted advisor on technology and cyber risk management.
- Due Diligence Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of technology and cyber risk assessments for projects, products, and sectors to ensure they meet our standards.
- Second Line of Defence: Provide expert advice on technology and cyber risk management to business lines and suppliers involved in developing new projects or products.
- Action Plan Oversight: Oversee the development and implementation of action plans to address technology and cyber risk exceptions.
- Practice Development: Lead the development and maintenance of technology and cyber risk management practices to ensure they are effective and up-to-date.
- Tool Development: Collaborate with the team to develop tools to assess technology and cyber risks associated with projects and products.
- Reporting and Analysis: Consolidate information and indicators for business line quarterly reports in collaboration with the team.
- Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve complex technology and cyber risk-related issues.
You will be part of a dynamic 5-person team in the Technology, Cyber and Data Risk Management sector, reporting to a Senior Manager of technology, data and cyber risk management. Our team is known for its expertise and commitment to helping IT and cyber teams succeed.

- Education and Experience: A university degree and at least 10 years of experience in technology and/or cybersecurity risk management.
- Knowledge and Expertise: Strong knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity governance in large-scale organizations, as well as considerable expertise in technology and cyber risk, solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud, DevSecOps, management of obsolescence/technical debt, RPA, DR, resilience, networks, and AI.
- Certifications: Cybersecurity and IT certifications.
- Personal Qualities: A high level of personal integrity, ability to handle confidential matters, and demonstrate an appropriate level of judgement and maturity.
