Xediton Pharmaceuticals Inc is seeking a highly motivated Medical Science Liaison to join our team in Canada. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in providing scientific support to healthcare professionals and advancing our company's mission to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain scientific peer-to-peer relationships with key external experts in Infectious Diseases and Ophthalmology.
- Provide scientific exchange and drive impact for patients with the highest industry standards following Xediton values, policies, standards, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Be the scientific field-based expert in Infectious Diseases and Ophthalmology in the territory and maintain a deep understanding and knowledge of diseases, treatments, and the competitive landscape.
- Attend and provide scientific support at medical exhibits and scientific sessions at regional, national, and international medical conferences as needed.
- Provide scientific training for Xediton field staff regarding Xediton products and the conditions they treat utilizing approved sales training materials.
- Initiate and oversee the planning, development & implementation of innovative, strategically aligned accredited, non-accredited and/or co-developed educational initiatives with physician associations, vendors, and Key Opinion Leaders.
- An advanced postgraduate scientific degree (MD, Ph.D., PharmD) and strong fluency in English (scientific and technical) is required.
- Previous experience in Infectious Diseases and Ophthalmology in a medical affairs position with established relationships/connections with associated healthcare professionals is preferred.
- Previous experience in Medical Education is preferred.
- Exceptional aptitude to apply and leverage scientific and medical information while establishing scientific credibility through peer-to-peer discussion and debate is essential.
- Excellent public speaker, with outstanding scientific presentation skills.
- Excellent people skills with a focus on teamwork and strategic execution of medical affairs plan in your respective territory.
- Knowledge of regulations governing medical information exchange with healthcare professionals within the Canadian pharmaceutical environment.
- Sound negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and ability to travel throughout the territory up to 20%.
- Demonstrated track record of successful facilitation of educational programs.
- Highly energetic team player with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Creative, resourceful, organized, adaptable, self-motivated and independent.
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, organization, and project management skills required.
- Demonstrated abilities in the following areas: managing complexity, effective communication, and time management skills.
- Proven examples of high learning agility and critical thinking in the development of educational projects is preferred.
- Role requires strong understanding of medical education in Pharma in Canada.
- High energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- French language proficiency is an asset.
Xediton Pharmaceuticals Inc offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 and a dynamic work environment that fosters growth and development.
