About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Pricing Specialist to join our team in North America. As an Actuarial Pricing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies for our liability and professional liability portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining pricing models and tools to support underwriting decision-making
  • Collaborating with underwriting leadership to support strategy development and prioritization
  • Leading the development of Swiss Re's market-leading pricing models and ensuring their accuracy and effectiveness
  • Partnering with the portfolio leader to monitor and evaluate existing and new opportunities to support growth and remediation activity
  • Leading a team of four actuarial professionals and providing coaching and development opportunities

About the Team

We are the team providing actuarial and portfolio management support to Corporate Solutions liability businesses around the world. We work closely with our business partners to offer portfolio steering support based on data-driven decisions. Team members are encouraged to take ownership of their portfolios, becoming product experts and advocates for their products to senior management.

About You

We are looking for an experienced actuary with a strong background in pricing general and professional liability products. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Minimum 10 years of actuarial experience, including significant time spent pricing general and/or professional liability products
  • D&O pricing experience preferred
  • Critical skills: self-motivation, ability to drive team performance, strong organizational skills, curiosity to understand data, interest in developing data-based strategic actions, strong communication skills, and creativity to consider actuarial problems in new ways
