Actuarial Pricing Specialist

At Faraday, we are seeking an experienced Actuarial Pricing Specialist to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Pricing and Research team, you will play a critical role in shaping our reinsurance business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement pricing models for individual and group life/health reinsurance business.
  • Conduct experience analysis investigations to monitor our experience and inform quotations.
  • Undertake research to set general pricing bases (Terms of Trade) and provide risk management input to product and process design.
  • Interact with clients and resolve technical issues, providing presentations and technical articles as needed.
  • Support other Gen Re offices as required.
Requirements
  • Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries or Society of Actuaries.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in insurance or reinsurance, with expertise in pricing, product development, and/or protection insurance.
  • Excellent skills in statistical and financial modeling, risk management, and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient user of MS Excel and Moody's AXIS or similar modeling software.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to summarise complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and partner with colleagues across all areas of the business.
