Job Title: Workday Financials Project Manager

At GTT, LLC, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Workday Financials Project Manager to join our team for a 12-month contract in Edmonton, Alberta.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, specifically in the implementation of Workday HR solutions. This role requires a leader who is PMP Certified and follows the PMBOK methodology to effectively manage and deliver complex projects on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full lifecycle of Workday implementation projects, from planning and design through to execution and delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop detailed project plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical and business resources, to ensure the successful execution of project tasks.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, processes, and methodologies, including PMBOK.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, risks, and roadblocks, escalating as necessary.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to operational support teams post-implementation.
Required Qualifications:
  • PMP Certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in managing Workday implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PMBOK methodology and best practices.
  • Experience in project management within the HR technology space, preferably with Workday.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise projects.
  • Familiarity with change management principles.
  • Previous experience working in a consulting or staffing environment is a plus.
