Nurse Care Specialist

Health Association Nova Scotia is partnering with the Department of Seniors and Long-term Care to provide recruitment support to Continuing Care Employers across Nova Scotia. There are numerous opportunities across the province for healthcare professionals who have a passion for working with seniors.
As a Senior Care Provider, you will be responsible for the provision of all aspects of care in the long-term care facility or the home, as well as the training and leadership of Licensed Practical Nurses and CCAs. You must have a sincere passion and commitment to providing quality services for seniors.
Responsibilities:
- Practice safe, compassionate, competent, and ethical care throughout the continuum of health and wellness of the residents.
- Administer direct nursing care and plan Resident care in consultation from the multidisciplinary care team.
- Administering and recording prescribed medication.
Home Care:
- Diabetes management
- Dialysis
- IV medications
- Palliative care
- Phlebotomy
- Wound care
Core Requirements:
- Current Licensed (or eligible for license) with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses
