Job Title: Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at K&K SONS HOLDINGS INC. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Order and manage food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Estimate the ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that all necessary items are available.
  • Hire Food Service Staff: Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring that all staff are qualified and experienced.
  • Ensure that Food and Service Meet Quality Control Standards: Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, ensuring that customers receive a high-quality experience.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that all financial aspects are managed effectively.
  • Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that all financial and operational aspects are managed effectively.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit reports, ensuring that all necessary information is available.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Site Environment: Noisy and hot environment.
  • Supervision: 11-15 people.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses: Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation and own vehicle.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and ability to work in a team environment.
