We are seeking a qualified Family Physician to join our team at Windsor Medical Clinic as a locum. This is a unique opportunity to work in a private practice setting with a full staff, including two administrators and an LPN. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with no evening, weekend, or on-call hours.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for examining patients, taking their histories, ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advising patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention. They will also be responsible for consultation and referral to other medical practitioners, acting as a patient's advocate, prescribing and administering medications and treatments, and reporting births, deaths, contagious, and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements.
QualificationsEligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is also required.
