Safety and Security Director

Welcome to the Hazelton Hotel Toronto, a luxurious five-star hotel located in the heart of fashionable Yorkville. As Safety and Security Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, residents, guests, and building.
Key Responsibilities:- Report directly to the General Manager and maintain effective communication with Guest Services.
- Perform regular security rounds to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of discrepancies observed during security patrols and provide timely reports to management.
- Protect hotel property from unauthorized access and respond to medical emergency calls and provide basic first aid and/or cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.
- Responsible for Building Fire Safety, conducting Fire Drills, and maintaining Emergency Evacuation Plans.
- Respond to emergencies, complaints, and requests for assistance in accordance with departmental and hotel policies and procedures.
- Must possess valid Ontario Private Security and Investigative Services Licence.
- Excellent written and communication skills in English; second language an asset.
- Previous experience in security or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable individual who can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and luxurious environment, providing exceptional service to our guests.
