Moving2Canada is a major infrastructure contractor seeking an experienced and business-minded Project Manager (Bridges), who will manage unique heavy civil bridge construction projects valued at $100m+. The Project Manager (Bridges) person will be responsible for all aspects of construction and project planning, organization, direction, control, and evaluation from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget. This role will report to the General Manager.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, with a successful track record of managing large-scale heavy civil infrastructure and transportation projects that involve bridges, highways, underground utilities, earthworks, and structures. They should have developed strong industry relationships and the ability to inspire and lead site teams to achieve project objectives. The candidate must be able to excel under pressure and have strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Construction Planning: Ensure accurate scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment for each project phase.
  • Procurement Activities: Source materials, equipment, and services while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Construction Management: Oversee daily construction operations, including quality control, safety protocols, and cost management.
  • Quality and Environment: Implement sustainable practices, monitor environmental impact, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records, submit regular progress reports, and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Cost Control and Contract Management: Manage project budgets, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Health & Safety: Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans, conduct regular audits, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Possess a degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Have at least 10 years of experience working on heavy civil and bridge structure projects.
  • Demonstrate advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Hold a P. Eng. certification or be eligible for registration.
Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on experience level and qualifications. Moving2Canada offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
