Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a crew of up to five to six employees in general labour duties, including traffic control, vegetation control, landscape maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, and various other labour-type projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Receives dispatches and schedules work accordingly.
- Provides leadership to direct reports; in job performance, compliance, and according to WorkSafe requirements.
- Ensures team members meet deadlines and productivity measures for key projects and tasks.
- Provides training and mentorship for new and existing employees.
- Keeps team up to speed on policies and procedures, as well as Job Standards and expectations.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Completion of post-secondary diploma, or degree in business administration, or a related field is an asset.
- Prior dispatch experience (i.e. traffic control, construction, transportation, e-comm) is an asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills.
- Learning agility and willing to continually learn and develop.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Recognized for positive outlook and enthusiastic attitude.
- Demonstrates a conscientious mindset – Committed to doing the best job possible within a given deadline.
- Safety conscious.
- Willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Able to work within a team environment.
- Strong proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Sound understanding of accounts payable cycle and basic accounting knowledge is an asset.
