At Johnson Service Group, we are seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager to lead our data analytics transformation efforts.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with 8+ years of experience in project management to oversee the successful delivery of projects within our Data Center of Excellence.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for embedding agile practices across the team, ensuring data access, analytics, and economy support data-informed decision-making.

This role involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the organization to deliver data products as corporate assets, focusing on business outcomes, innovation, and transformation.

In addition to project management responsibilities, this role will also involve functioning as an agile coach, supporting the identification, evaluation, and recommendation of project opportunities for the Government of Alberta (GoA) and its external partners as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Oversee all aspects of projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress.
  • Team Collaboration: Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in projects.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports for upper management regarding project status.
  • Recommendations: Compile project charters and business/project plans to ensure business objectives and data integrity are achieved.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage multiple projects, project resources, and project governance while working with project sponsors to ensure effective communication exists throughout the project duration.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a data analytics or IT-related field.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and presentation skills, firm knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to influence and foster an environment of transparency and shared accountability.
