Medical Director

The Medical Director at Island Health is a key leadership position that plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality services are delivered to patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Co-lead and oversee activities to ensure efficient, effective, and integrated service delivery across Island Health sites.
- Link with Departmental Medical Leaders to address matters of physician governance, including professional medical practice issues.
- Establish processes and structures to engage physicians and staff in continuous quality improvement of service delivery.
- Monitor program budget and performance jointly with co-leader, and make course corrections when necessary.
- Ensure appropriate investigation and resolution of program-related Patient Safety Learning System and Patient Care Quality Office events.
