The Role:

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all store operations, collaborating with the District Supervisor to develop strategies, and executing plans to drive sales and profitability. You will also train and develop your team members, ensure adherence to company policies, and maintain a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and implementing store strategies to achieve sales and profit budgets;
  • Training and developing store team members on company standards and programs;
  • Taking action on low performance and resolving conflicts with support from the District Supervisor;
  • Motivating and recognizing team members' good performance;
  • Conducting administrative and operational duties as required;
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met;
  • Preparing and managing employee weekly schedules;
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving them promptly;
  • Complying with head office requests regarding store operations;
  • Processing and managing incoming merchandising shipments;
  • Handling returns to head office as required;
  • Complying with policy and regulations as per the employee manual;
  • Processing cash/credit/debit purchases at the register.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years retail management experience;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience and/or education in visual merchandising;
  • Solid business acumen;
  • Proven people development skills and ability to assess talent;
  • Strong time management and priority-setting skills;
  • Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to delegate tasks and take ownership;
  • Ability to lead a team positively and inclusively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and climb a ladder;
  • Move, lift, and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures (up to 30 pounds).

Availability Requirements:

  • Days, evenings, and weekends.
