**Job Title:** Korean Cuisine Chef

We are seeking an experienced Korean Cuisine Chef to join our team at Hankki Korean Street Food. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of traditional Korean dishes to the highest standards.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a strong background in Korean cuisine. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all food is presented to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation;
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, to ensure that they meet our expectations;
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed;
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment;
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, identifying any potential issues and taking corrective action.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment;
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification;
  • Strong knowledge of Korean cuisine and cooking techniques;
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in busy situations;
  • Excellent communication skills, able to provide clear instructions and feedback to colleagues;
  • Physical stamina, able to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
