Job Summary:

The Upper Canada District School Board is seeking a qualified Secondary Teacher to fill a permanent position in Special Education. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Special Education classes to students in grades 9-12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Special Education

Requirements:

  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing
  • Qualifications in Special Education
  • Proven experience in teaching Special Education classes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators
