Job Summary:

The Upper Canada District School Board is seeking a qualified Secondary Long-Term Occasional Teacher to join our team. As a Long-Term Occasional Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students in a secondary setting, providing instruction and support to meet the needs of all learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach students in a secondary setting, providing instruction and support to meet the needs of all learners
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements and promote student engagement and understanding
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in the educational process
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing
  • Intermediate/Senior Family Studies qualification
  • Experience teaching in a secondary setting, preferably in a long-term occasional capacity
