Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN), IV Team Member

At BC Children's Hospital, we provide care for the most seriously ill or injured children and youth from across British Columbia.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an IV Team Member. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care by implementing individualized care plans and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention
  • Participate in orientation and continuing education of nursing staff and students

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)
  • One year recent related experience in the designated clinical area
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to relate effectively to children and their families and others
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job
  • Ability to operate related equipment including applicable computer software
