Key Responsibilities:

  • Deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud within our retail locations.
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases.
  • Regularly collaborate with the local police service to share intelligence and best practices.
  • Investigate internal theft and shrinkage, compiling and presenting evidence for court or arbitration purposes.
  • Identify potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store management and colleagues, coaching and mentoring on Asset Protection policies and procedures.
  • Participate in conducting store-level audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in community events to promote the company's commitment to community involvement.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  • Commit to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.

Requirements:

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest and CCTV and/or surveillance systems.
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • High degree of initiative and integrity required to be successful in a fast-paced environment.
