Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Asset Protection Representative to join our team. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's assets and ensuring the safety of our customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deter, detect, and apprehend theft and fraud within our retail locations.
- Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases.
- Regularly collaborate with the local police service to share intelligence and best practices.
- Investigate internal theft and shrinkage, compiling and presenting evidence for court or arbitration purposes.
- Identify potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store management and colleagues, coaching and mentoring on Asset Protection policies and procedures.
- Participate in conducting store-level audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in community events to promote the company's commitment to community involvement.
- Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Commit to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.
Requirements:
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
- Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest and CCTV and/or surveillance systems.
- Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
- High degree of initiative and integrity required to be successful in a fast-paced environment.
