About the Role:

The key focus of this position is to develop and implement strategies that ensure the reliability and efficiency of the Ferrero Brantford Plant's components, equipment, and processes. This includes conducting thorough analysis of technical downtime, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to minimize equipment and machinery value loss. Additionally, the Reliability Engineer will be responsible for performing component breakdown analysis, creating statistical analysis and charts, and updating and consolidating Ferrero's maintenance policies.

Main Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement maintenance policies that align with the company's overall strategy.

• Manage the IAS code for investments to ensure accurate asset depreciation and financial reporting.

• Collaborate with Finance to manage investment assets and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Develop and implement a maintenance planning and scheduling process to optimize equipment utilization and reduce downtime.

• Conduct regular maintenance meetings to review progress, address issues, and set targets for improvement.

• Develop and maintain guidelines for maintenance policies, including frequency of tasks and procedures.

• Analyze equipment performance and failure data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Develop and implement a machine breakdown logic and physical layout hierarchy to optimize equipment utilization and reduce downtime.

• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement auto-maintenance strategies to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency.

• Ensure the updating, sharing, and storage of machine books, manuals, and technical documentation.

Maintenance Planning:
• Support the maintenance planner/scheduler in allocating resources and prioritizing tasks to meet business objectives.

• Collect, analyze, and share best maintenance practices to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

• Collaborate with the Maintenance Coordinator to plan and execute maintenance activities, including predictive and preventive maintenance.

• Collaborate with the Maintenance RMS and RDM teams to identify corrective, preventative, and predictive actions to improve equipment efficiency.

New Projects Management:
• Lead and coordinate the deployment of new maintenance tools and software to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

• Analyze and optimize OEE factory-wide to improve equipment efficiency and reduce waste.

• Develop and implement new standards and procedures to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce downtime.

• Collaborate with the Reliability Manager to implement data analysis methods and Group KPIs to measure and improve maintenance performance.

Quality and Food Safety:
• Ensure equipment and machinery value safeguard through regular analysis and maintenance activities.

• Perform component breakdown analysis to identify root causes of equipment failure.

Environmental:
• Ensure equipment and machinery value safeguard through regular analysis and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum University degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.

• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant industry experience, specifically in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong technical background in Maintenance and Engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating activities across cross-functional areas.

• Flexible to accept and prioritize multiple challenges and quick changes in priorities.

• Proven hands-on problem-solving and project management skills.

• Strong understanding of equipment design and function.

• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and other relevant food safety and environmental regulations is an asset.

• Strong analytical skills; ability to make suggestions and implement improvements.

• Knowledge and experience with Lean Management.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Understanding of Design programs i.e AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of SAP.
