About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Abby Crane & Truck Services Ltd. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately record and reconcile financial transactions
    • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
    • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Payroll and Benefits
    • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
    • Administer benefits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to management
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks
Requirements
  • Education
    • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
  • Skills
    • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
    • Knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
