Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at PEI INC. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and even surface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Supervise and coordinate with other workers to ensure efficient installation
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, and measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring and install corner beads and wire mesh around beams
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs and prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks
  • Client focus, flexibility, reliability, and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working at heights and in various locations. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
