About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher - Retail or Wholesale Specialist to join our team at Barcelos Flame Grilled Chicken. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Cut and Trim Meats: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat for our customers.
  • Wrap and Package Meats: Wrap and package prepared meats for sale, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Remove Bones and Weigh Meats: Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Cut Poultry and Grind Meats: Cut poultry into parts and grind meats as needed, following our quality control procedures.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Train meat cutters and other team members on our procedures and best practices.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced retail environment, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and adhering to our company's health and safety policies.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and develop your skills is essential.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn our procedures and systems.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
