The Senior Assistant Store Manager position at Spencer Gifts offers an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in a dynamic retail environment.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses, and managing all aspects of merchandising and inventory control. This includes ensuring maximum sales and adherence to Company policies and procedures.

This is a full-time position requiring up to 38 hours of work per week. To be eligible, candidates must be at least 18 years old. The role demands standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds, making it essential for applicants to have prior retail and/or management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Profitability: Develop strategies to drive sales growth and optimize profitability
  • Staff Development: Provide guidance and support to store staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations
  • Expense Control: Manage store expenses effectively to maintain profit margins
  • Merchandising and Inventory Control: Oversee the visual presentation of merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet sales targets

Requirements:

  • Prior retail and/or management experience required
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on location and experience
