Corporate Lawyer Opportunity at Bitfarms Ltd

Bitfarms Ltd, a leading global vertically integrated Bitcoin mining company, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer to join its team. As a key member of the company's legal department, you will provide legal support and guidance to various business units, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice to business units in Canada, including mergers and acquisitions, ESG reports, NDA's, corporate governance, securities, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various corporate law issues, including due diligence, drafting transaction documents, and coordinating closings.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate documents, including contracts, shareholder agreements, bylaws, and corporate resolutions.
  • Support the department and coordinate with external lawyers various corporate legal functions, with a wide variety of corporate legal matters.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective corporate governance practices and policies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree in law in Canada.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a corporate and business law firm and/or a Canadian publicly-traded or international company.
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English required. Spanish is a great asset.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
