Join Our Team as a Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Qualicum Manor, a beautiful and supportive community of 58 older adults living well together in Long Term Care.

This role is perfect for a dedicated and experienced LPN who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. As a member of our nursing leadership team, you will provide care and support services that align with our client population of older adults, many living with dementia.

We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with both RN and LPN leadership 24/7, as well as a team of Care Aids, recreation, and support services. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to providing them with the highest quality care and support.

This role would suit a person who is experienced in the care of older adults in LTC and who wants to help us build a community of practice that understands what it takes to work within a regulated environment and still be 'at home'. We document in Point Click Care and use RAI, and experience in RAI will be helpful, as will EMAR. However, don't let this deter you - we are happy to train.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $31.89-$40.15 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, retention bonuses, and a range of benefits. If you are a motivated and compassionate LPN who is looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support services to our residents
  • Work collaboratively with our nursing leadership team to develop and implement care plans
  • Document resident care and progress in Point Click Care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices in LTC

Requirements:

  • Current LPN licensure
  • Experience in LTC, preferably with older adults living with dementia
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
