Job Title: Janitor

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at K Sidhu Contracting Ltd.

Job Summary

The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and clients. This includes sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, emptying trash cans, and washing windows and walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, and wax floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers regularly
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, and storage
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide mentorship and coaching opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment

The Janitor will work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 30 to 40 hours per week.
