Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Envirosafe Janitorial Inc. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors; dust furniture; vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture; make beds and change sheets; distribute clean towels and toiletries; stock linen closet; clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Disinfection and Sanitizing: Disinfect operating rooms and other areas; clean and disinfect elevators.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items; provide basic information on facilities.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Special Tasks: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings; clean changing rooms and showers.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment; work under pressure; tight deadlines; repetitive tasks; handling heavy loads; physically demanding.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking; standing for extended periods.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
