Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in Kanata/Stittsville. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and respectful care to our clients, assisting with daily living tasks, and promoting their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, incontinence care, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), such as laundry, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation planning.
  • Observe and report changes in client conditions.
  • Provide companionship, social, and emotional support.
  • Accompany clients on errands and to appointments.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to follow client care plans and goals.
  • Administer medication reminders.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers.
Requirements
  • PSW certificate meeting technical and practical standards.
  • Clear enhanced police record check.
  • Able to acquire a valid CPR/BLS certificate.
  • Able to complete WHMIS training.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring and respectful attitude towards clients and colleagues.
