Fabrication Shop Manager

The Fabrication Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fabrication shop, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget. This includes managing a team of machinists and fabricators, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise a team of machinists and fabricators
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement project plans
- Manage and maintain all fabrication equipment and tools
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure high-quality products
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in advanced development and prototyping
- Proven experience in machining and fabrication
- Supervisory experience
- Project management experience
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Completion of a 3-year post-secondary program
- Certified skilled trade machinist and/or tool maker
- Post-secondary college diploma
- Certificate of all qualifications
