SE Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a nursing home/home for the aged setting.



Job Description

  • This role involves accompanying patients on outdoor recreational activities, assisting with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment, and performing other duties related to patient care and comfort.
  • You will also supply and empty bed pans, serve meal trays and feed patients, weigh, lift, turn and position patients, deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments, make beds and maintain patients' rooms, supervise patients' exercise routines, bathe, dress and groom patients, transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, and administer first aid in emergency situations.
  • You must have a valid driver's license and own transportation to perform tasks effectively.


Requirements

  • A permanent full-time position offering an estimated $35-$45 per hour salary range, depending on experience.
  • Requires a college/CEGEP education and relevant work experience, which is considered an asset.
  • Candidates must undergo a criminal record check, immunization records, vulnerable sector check, and tuberculosis test.
  • Must have excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgment, and reliability.
  • Candidates should be physically fit, able to stand for extended periods, and possess manual dexterity and attention to detail.
