We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Financial Manager to join our team in Brampton. As an industrial supplier of manufacturing and engineering services, we provide components and assemblies to the machinery sector. The successful candidate will have experience as a Plant Controller in the local manufacturing sector and a strong background in finance.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial systems, including sales forecasting, planning, product cost estimating, and operations controlling. They will drive finance performance and improvements, preparing complex financial analyses, and assessing associated risks. Additionally, they will prepare and complete monthly financial packages, perform various account postings and reconciliations, and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and submitting annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and weekly flash forecasts
- Providing and analyzing financial information for annual external audits
- Ensuring plant reports are accurate and issued within deadlines
- Determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, and expediting workflow
- Tracking and reporting purchasing expense and headcount monthly and comparing to budget
- Performing ad-hoc financial analyses as requested
Requirements for the position include:
- Prior experience as a Plant Controller in the local manufacturing sector
- Come from the manufacturing sector
- Degree in Accounting preferred
- Completion of the CMA or CPA would be a strong asset
- Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS
- Experience with financial and non-financial measurement systems and cost management systems
- Ability to establish goals and guide strategic and operational planning in the finance organization
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location in Brampton.
