Job Summary

The successful candidate will operate with minimal supervision, exercising wide latitude for independent judgment, and will be responsible for a broad range of duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in the analysis and review of existing or proposed system features and integration, security, scalability, and performance requirements with users, business analysts, architects, and team members.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection process for application packages, advising on options, risk, cost, and designs.
  • Design, develop, and program specialized custom software, prepare functional specifications, and build prototypes.
  • Provide technical expertise, training, and consultation to other staff.
  • Support the software development lifecycle and apply and follow appropriate programming/development methodologies and best practices as instructed.
  • Manage small to large-sized projects and related budgets.
Requirements

A Honors Bachelor's Degree (4 year) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.

5+ years of progressive technical experience in programming, maintenance, and infrastructure management, preferably in higher education.
