As a Key Account Pricing Specialist at The North West Company, you will play a crucial role in executing pricing strategies for our Canadian banners. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed retail decisions that drive business growth. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop your analytical skills, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the company's success.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Strategic Pricing, you will work closely with 3rd party vendors to gather competitive pricing data and provide insights to inform pricing decisions. You will also prepare and present reports on the financial impact of price changes, ensuring timely execution of retail adjustments and projected/actual financial results.

In this role, you will review market-based competitive positions, assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies, and determine whether they are increasing item-level, group-level, and store-level gross margin, volume, and sales. Additionally, you will prepare basket analyses of items within our strategies and determine if we are seeing an increase in basket penetration and/or size.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn new concepts, systems, and industry best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access, is essential. Experience with Power Query is considered an asset.
