Job Title: Technician II

Ryder is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Technician II, responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines. The ideal candidate must be enrolled in an apprenticeship program to obtain their provincial certification. As a Technician II, you will have access to development, guidance, and support from a team of experienced technicians. Additionally, Ryder provides support for continued education and career advancement through tuition reimbursement and higher pay during your apprenticeship. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and inspections.
  • Assist senior technicians with lubrication and service tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Conscientious about safety, with a strong focus on working in a safety-oriented environment.
  • Enrolled in an apprenticeship program.
  • Familiarity with technical manuals and tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
