Technician II

Ryder is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Technician II, responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a training program to obtain their provincial certification. As a Technician II, you will have access to development, guidance, and support from a team of experienced technicians. Additionally, Ryder provides support for continued education and career advancement through tuition reimbursement and higher pay during training. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and lubrications.
- Assist senior technicians with tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Interact with customers and internal stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
- Basic tools required.
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance.
- Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
