Job Title: Executive Chef

Vij's Lantern Inc. is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Supervise and train specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to our guests.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants, ensuring menus meet quality standards and are executed efficiently.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences for weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
  • Recruit, hire, and train staff to meet the demands of our growing business.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to food safety and handling procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
