We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at GNK Holdings. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations to ensure the smooth operation of our retail service establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Contact tradespersons or contractors as needed for major repairs or specialized work.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on facilities maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and bending, crouching, or kneeling as required.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced retail environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously and working under pressure to meet deadlines. The physical demands of the role include frequent standing, walking, and moving heavy objects. You must be able to work safely and efficiently, even in challenging conditions.
