We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Richmond Hospital in Richmond, BC.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating within the scope of practice for Pharmacy Technicians as outlined by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Key responsibilities include processing medication orders, receiving verbal and non-verbal prescriptions from practitioners, preparing and processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process clinically reviewed and approved medication orders for distribution to patients, clients, or residents.
  • Receive prescriptions from practitioners and verify that they are complete and authentic.
  • Prepare and process prescriptions by entering orders, counting, measuring, packaging, or re-packaging medications and compounding sterile pharmaceutical products according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, including medication verification and quality assurance checks.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Grade 12 education and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia is also required.
