Laboratory Scientist Position with Competitive Salary

Improve lives by working in a fast-paced team environment at LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services. Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Medical Lab Technologist to join us in Burnaby, BC.
We are committed to providing accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing. As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes by conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
Key Responsibilities:- Performing, interpreting and releasing results while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information
- Identifying incidents and non-conformities, participating in the development of effective corrective action plans, escalating as appropriate and driving continuous improvement
- Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology
- Participating in problem solving in work organization and workflow
In this position, you will have the opportunity to share knowledge in a collaborative environment, 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical library, and the ability to teach our college and university student placements.
About the Role:This is a Full-Time Float role, which means you will be required to work flexible shifts suitable for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You will be entitled to vacation and we promote a healthy work-life balance and expect your full vacation to be taken each year.
The hiring range for this role is $32.99 - $40.70 per hour, and the final salary recommendation will be determined based on the level of experience, education requirement, external market conditions and internal equity.
