Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical respiratory therapy services to patients, while adhering to the employer's mission, values, and management philosophy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and assessments to determine the need for respiratory therapy services.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the MARRT is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT approved equivalent is required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines and demonstrate professional judgment and initiative.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. The candidate must also be able to lift heavy medical equipment and push wheeled medical equipment.
