Our Toronto head office is currently seeking a Cost Control Coordinator under the supervision and guidance of a Project Controls Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Project Controls guidance and support to projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, establish, and maintain project cost/control systems
  • Support proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and project baseline
  • Contribute to the development of detailed, resource-loaded schedules
  • Assist the project team in converting project bids to setting up the complete, accurate project baseline (budget, schedule)
  • Help set up project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit)
  • Evaluate contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) for project setup, tracking, and closeout
  • Monitor project performance and ensure proper implementation of the project control system
  • Generate required project status reports for internal management and customers, including the overall project dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.)
  • Analyze project schedules and cost reports, suggesting corrective actions to maintain projects within anticipated cost and schedule
  • Implement change management procedures ensuring compliance with contract conditions and Aecon standards
  • Support the project team in budget and forecast management during execution

About You:

  • 5+ years of related project controls construction experience
  • College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational skills for handling multiple tasks in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to projects
  • Valid G driver's license and access to a vehicle

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. A market research analysis indicates that this range reflects industry standards for similar positions in Toronto.
