We are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Research Technician with hands-on laboratory experience in protein purification to join our multidisciplinary team at AbCellera. As a key member of our research and development team, you will play a critical role in supporting our antibody drug discovery programs by executing midscale antibody conjugation and purification.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and execution of protein purification methods and protocols
- Contribute to the troubleshooting and optimization of protein purification workflows
- Assess critical quality attributes of ADC candidates through various characterization assays
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex scientific problems and communicate data-driven insights
- Support the preparation of buffers, sample handling, and data analysis for protein purification workflows
- Hands-on experience with protein purification in a laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of protein biophysical properties
- Experience with or exposure to AKTA or FPLC chromatography is a plus
- BSc in Biochemistry or related field, with a strong foundation in protein chemistry and biophysics
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for learning and growth
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail
AbCellera offers a competitive salary range of CAD $53,900 - $67,300 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution. You will also receive a CAD $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, opportunity for flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits.
